A Day in the Garden
Last Sunday, I dedicated the day to my small garden. As the sun peeked through the clouds, I stepped outside, greeted by the soft hum of bees and the gentle rustle of leaves. The garden was a riot of colors, with red roses blooming in one corner and purple petunias adding a pop of color nearby.
I started by pruning the overgrown branches of my fruit trees. It was a delicate task, but seeing the trees look tidier made me feel accomplished. Next, I turned to the vegetable patch. I carefully pulled out the weeds that had sprouted among the lettuce and carrots. The fresh smell of soil filled my nostrils as I worked.
After the gardening chores, I sat on a bench in the middle of the garden. I sipped on a glass of iced tea, enjoying the sight of butterflies fluttering from flower to flower. It was a peaceful moment, away from the noise of the city. This day in the garden not only allowed me to take care of my plants but also provided a serene space for relaxation.
